New Mold Detox Information on the Horizon

in Private Research, Current Headlines /by Carolyn Willbanks

In a recent newsletter by Dr. Neil Nathan (newsletter (#24), I read some encouraging news that I would like to share. Evidence suggests that there is new mold detox information on the horizon. This information is based on a combination of research by about 5 doctors who treat mold patients. These doctors originally researched a segment of the mold puzzle. As it happened, they met at a conference, and began sharing their findings. Now, the picture of how mycotoxins are handled by the body is coming into focus.

The ‘aha’ that comes out their collaboration is that different mold toxins (mycotoxins) are processed by the body through different pathways. Some are removed by the urinary track, some by gastrointestinal processing, etc. This information is proving that helpful foods and supplements to assist the detox are specific to the mycotoxin type. This news means that treatment solutions can be targeted to a specific mold infection.

There is a lot of scientific jargon in Dr. Nathan’s newsletter, and an extensive chart with details per mycotoxin. If you are interested in a deeper dive, check out the entire article. If you are under treatment for mold sickness, you may want to share this newsletter with your physician. To register for Dr. Nathan’s newsletters, visit https://neilnathanmd.com/.

Dr. Nathan states in his email, “As we learn more, it seems likely that what we learn will help us to help the body to do this in safer and more comprehensive ways…..hopefully shortening the treatment process and helping patients to feel better sooner.”

Dr. Nathan also has published several books on mold issues, including his latest book, Toxic: Heal Your Body from Mold Toxicity, Lyme Disease, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, and Chronic Environmental Illness available on Amazon. on mold’s toxic affect on the human body.
