Mold Symptoms

Are you sick and suspect it might be from mold? Determining if mold exposure is making you ill is not easy. Since symptoms differ from person to person, even among individuals in the same family or work environment, your health problems may not be quickly associated with mold exposure. Some mold-related sickness is caused by mold spores and is generally referred to as 'mold allergy'. Mold spores make the immune system respond with symptoms that usually affect (but not limited to) the respiratory system and lungs. Severe symptoms and illnesses are caused by mycotoxins, the chemicals produced by the mold to defend itself. These biotoxins are serious - some have even been used in biological warfare. This section of Mold-Help.org is dedicated to helping you take the first step in understanding your symptoms.
